As a ski bum and competitor in sprint triathlons I come across many dramatic landscapes and understand the value of painting these inspiring landscapes and telling the compelling stories of nature, and the animals and people who seek to explore them.

EDUCATION & RELATED ARTISTIC ACTIVITY
After earning my BS degree from the University of Colorado, I studied fine art at Denver’s Metro State College and the University of Houston TX and with the award-winning plein air artist Greg LaRock and the acclaimed figurative artist Bruce Vanderwilt. For several years I was a Theatre Scenic Designer, designing and building sets for dramas, musicals, comedies, light operatic regional and collegiate productions.
